    Oriental Pavilion

Metropole Hotel Abano Terme – The Oriental Pavilion. The architectural style expressed in this work recuperates a thirteenth century oriental style belonging to India. It absorbed local elements such as: courtyards surrounded by arcades, balconies supported by cantilevers and, above all, the wood adornments. In the Indian art, in fact, simple recurring themes are found; the composition design expresses itself with strength and rhythm; new elements are introduced, such as the dome, the pointed arch, the geometric motif, mosaics and minarets.

Regarding this structure, once the hotel customer crosses the fitness center main entrance, s/he get carried away by the fascinating and relaxing atmosphere surrounding all her/his senses; from the sense of smell because of the essential oils (useful for the inner well-being as well), to the hearing thanks to the background music, to the sight that is captured by two high impact elements: the great dome dominating her/his head located in the entrance corridor and the big mosaic on the floor depicting air, water, earth and fire. The trademark was exclusively conceived and designed by Bruno Polliero to identify the modern spa industry of the Group GB Thermae Hotels. Yes, once again the reference to the five primordial principles is found: ether, air, water, earth and fire or the basic elements of Ayurveda.
