Hotel Milenij - Opatija (Croatia)
Located in the city core of Opatija, close to the sea, it is surrounded by the most beautiful Croatian park: Sv. Jakov (St. James) Park, in the vicinity of the Seafront. The internal re-structuring of the structure was carried out by designer Bruno Polliero in 1999: it has been a complex restoration work that permitted to re-establish a five star hotel, equipped with every comfort, at its best. Regarding the ancient villa, the owners desired to create rooms recalling different historical periods, therefore rooms with interior architecture, design and furniture evoking Biedermeier, Empire, and Louis XV styles were set.
In the brand new part, always supervised by Architect Polliero, this time the designer faced the furniture theme with a new approach, or how to internally diversify the classic and modern parts of the hotel in the same way it was done externally. In the 125 rooms, an Italian and contemporary style was proposed again. The lobby, the hall, the reception area, the lobby bar, the shopping area and the external pavement with the terrace furniture have been rearranged by Bruno Polliero in 2008. This because the Society wanted the hotel to be one of the Opatija symbols.
